OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Vice President of IT, Facilities & Transportation, The IT Coordinator supports BGCCP’s technology operations by coordinating IT systems, vendor relationships, and end-user support. This role works closely with the organization’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure timely issue resolution, system reliability, and a positive user experience across all club sites and administrative locations.
The IT Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining systems, supporting staff, and assisting with technology initiatives, including digital tools and AI adoption. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically capable, collaborative, and service-focused.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor & MSP Oversight
· Serve as a primary point of contact between BGCCP staff and the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
· Track helpdesk tickets, monitor response/resolution times, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
· Escalate unresolved or high-priority issues to the MSP and internal leadership as needed.
· Maintain visibility into open issues and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
· Assist in reviewing service performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Systems Management & Security
· Support administration of Office 365, including user accounts, access, groups, and basic security settings.
· Assist with user provisioning and deprovisioning (new hires, transfers, terminations).
· Coordinate device setup, deployment, and inventory tracking across all locations.
· Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures (MFA, endpoint protection, backups).
· Maintain accurate system documentation and technology inventory records.
End-User Support & Training
· Provide first-level technical support for staff across club and administrative locations.
· Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
· Support staff in using core systems (Office 365, shared drives, communication tools).
· Assist with onboarding staff to technology systems and tools.
· Identify common issues and provide proactive training or resources to improve digital literacy.
Process Improvement & Strategy
· Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine IT tasks.
· Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce inefficiencies.
· Support efforts to standardize technology practices across all sites.
AI Collaboration & Innovation
Assist in researching and testing AI tools to support productivity and operational efficiency.
· Support implementation of approved tools and provide basic staff training.
· Gather feedback from users to inform continuous improvement of digital tools.
Technology Coordination Across Clubs
· Help ensure all club locations have functional technology, internet connectivity, and necessary equipment.
· Coordinate with site leaders to identify and address technology needs.
· Assist with planning and support for technology rollouts or upgrades across locations.
· All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
· 1–3 years of IT support, helpdesk, or related experience
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and general IT systems
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in school, nonprofit, or youth-serving environments.
· Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Intune.
· Exposure to AI prompt engineering or API tools.
· Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
· Familiarity with network basics, device management, and cybersecurity practices
· Experience supporting multiple locations or remote users
HEALTH AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:
NC Child Care Site: Must successfully complete a drug screening, background check, fingerprinting, health examination and TB test prior to employment.
Non-NC Child Care Site: Must successfully complete a drug screening, background check prior to employment.
ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Daily contact with Club leaders, Club members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate and deliver programs. Normal internal office environment. Travel to special events and field trips required. Occasional weekend work required to accomplish objectives.
